12月30日サンディエゴ動物園のパンダ再訪。去年7月29日に生まれた赤ちゃんパンダの公開を期待して。その赤ちゃんパンダ「シャオリュー」は今日、1月10日から午前9時半～11時半に公開されています。 （生後3歳5ヶ月のユンザ/ Yun Zi, 3 year and 5 months old ↓ ) "Pandas at San Diego Zoo": I re-visited San Diego Zoo on Dec. 30, 2012 with hopes to see a new born baby panda, born on July 29, 2012. I could not see the baby panda, Xiao Liwu in person. He finally debuted for public viewing from today, Jan. 10, 2013 between 9:30 am and 11:30 am daily.
Yun Zi grew up so big! Now he is bigger than his father, Gao Gao.
It takes 2 and a half hours by driving free ways one way from my house in South Bay area. I went to pick up a friend in Santa Monica, so it took 6 hours both ways.

Yun Zi got really big....! He is this big at 3 and a half years old...

Panda cubs born at San Deigo Zoo are sent back to Panda Research Center in Sichuan province, China after passing 3 years old according to the panda loan program. I believe Yun Zi will be traveling to China within one year.....
Here is the father panda, Gao Gao. He was rescued in the wild in Sichuan, China. He is estimated to be born in 1992, 21 years old. He came to San Diego Zoo in 2003.

He was born on July 29, 2012. He is 5 and a half year old. I borrowed his photos from San Diego Zoo website. You can watch him live through the Panda Cam on Internet.
After seeing Pandas, we went to see two Pola Bears in north side and Koalas in a temporary housing in the North. We got on the double-Decker bus and toured around the zoo. We returned to my car little before 4 pm. It started to rain. It rained heavily for 30 minutes.
Then, we saw double-rainbows on our right front side ~!

7月29日生まれ。生後5ヶ月半。
パンダトレックの前で。
パンダを見たあと、北極熊２匹、コアラちゃん（仮設住宅）を観て、2階建てバスに乗って動物園全体の案内をきき、午後4時前に車に戻りました。雨が降り出し、30分ほど土砂降りでした。
