In the Museum, they were showing the documentary short film of "Dr. Takashi Nagai's Life."Dr. Takashi Nagai was a physician, specializing in Radiology, a Roman Catholic, and a survivor of the atomic bombing of Nagasaki. His subsequent life of prayer and service earned him the affectionate title "saint of Urakami".. He used his body as a sample how a human can live around the hypo-center after the atomic bombing. At that time, scientists said no human can live there for more than 75 years (until year 2020). He rented a small house in the hypo-center and recorded research on health effects on his body. He died 6 years after the atomic bombing. Until his death he kept his prayers and kept drawing "May Peace..." on more than 2000 paper.
放射線（被爆）による人体の被害: 5－7年後から白内障、白血病、ガン患者が急増。人体への影響は70年以上続くと思われる。 Radiation Exposure and Physical Damage: Leukemia, Cataract, and Cancer patiants increased from 5 to 7 years later. It seems radiation will influence the health more than 70 years.
