9月11日『Vivify』で6人揃って夕飯しました。マウント・シャスタ市にあるマクロビ・オーガニックの日本食カフェレストランです。7月半ばからロサンゼルス界隈でＥメールとミクシーで話題の『5年ものマクロビ梅干』を販売・発送してくださっているアヤコさんがオーナーシェフです。 (ビーガン丼 /Vegan Bowl $15) "Vivify Organic Cafe": All six of us had a dinner there on September 11, 2010. It's a Macrobiotic Organic Japanese Cafe Restaurant in Mount Shasta City. From mid July, 2010, "Macrobiotic Umeboshi Pickled Plums aged 5 years" are circulating and selling like hotcakes through emails in Greater Los Angeles. The owner chef, Ayako, has been volunteering to sell that hot item, "Macrobiotic Umeboshi Picked Plums aged 5 years".

The most popular items are this "Vegan Plate" and "Vegan Bowel", the first photo at this restaurant. My friend B and I ordered this. It comes with Brown Rice or Vivify Rice and Miso Soup using a home-made organic Miso paste. The plate had Broccoli, Daikon Radish, Japanese Pumpkin, Tofu and Carrot made Patti, Gobo Roots, Celery, Potato, Mushrooms. It was healthy and gentle seasoning for body.
Soy Sauce Ramen Noodle Soup with Wakame and Nori Seaweed, Carrot, Green Onion, Bamboo Shoots, and Roasted Pork. Two of us ordered this. It was strange that we could eat Ramen Noodle while over-looking Mount Shasta.........
ホタテ貝ソテー $15.50 Sauteed Fresh Day Boat Scallops 新鮮なホタテ貝をソテーし、マッシュポテト、ビーツ、スプリングサラダを添えたもの。

These "Macrobiotic Umeboshi Pickled Plums" had been made by Mr. and Mrs Yagi for 40 years in Chico at their 5 acre land. They were instructed by the founder of Macrobiotic, Master Sakurazawa. Mr. Yagi passed away 10 years ago. Mrs. Yagi is 80 years old now. Due to her health condition, she stopped making "Macrobiotic Umeboshi Pickled Plums" 2 years ago and now lives in a retirement home. To help raise founds to pay for the retirement home rent ($2000/month), Ayako is volunteering to sell and ship "Macrobiotic Umeboshi Pickled Plums".

If you want to get Kazuko's Organic Pickled Plums, you can get them at "Mira Super Market" in San Francisco, CA. However they don't take orders to be shipped.
