“Tatsunoya Ramen”: I found it at “Kyushu Okinawa Fair” at Mitsuwa Market Torrance store on Friday, 7/17/09. It is TonkotsuRamen, Pork Bone Broth Ramen. TonkotsuRamen was originally made in Kurume, Fukuoka. This “Tatsunoya Ramen” is one of Kurume Ramen shops. They came to America for the first time. It’s demonstrated and sold only limited time from 7/16 to 7/19/09 at Mitsuwa Market Torrance store. http://tatsunoya.net/
The broth soup is made of Pork Bones and Pure Water. It has great flavor and tastes just from those ingredients, nothing else, cooking it for a long hours and filtering. It was a well-balanced combination of great Pork Broth Soup, Fine Noodles, and tender Sliced BBQ Pork Meats. It was $8.99 net, or $9.87 with sales taxes. It costs close to twice as much to the Ramen sold at it’s head store in Kurume,, Japan. It’s cheaper considering the flight and train fees to go to Kurume, Japan.
I saw the owner chef on the photo cooking Ramen noodle soups inside at that temporary store at Mitsuwa Market Torrance.
