About 10 people gathered at friend J's house at night on March 27th to pray for earthquake and Tsunami victims and Fukushima Nuclear Plant crisis in Japan.

Cherry Blossoms@Columbia Park: I went to the park twice last week to enjoy cherry blossoms at the park. It's just 2 minutes by car from my work. I'm glad I went last week, because the forecast said it would rain for a week since last Sunday, March 20, 2011.
How can we infuse the earth with love and gratitude? To begin with, we need to create new habits and new ways of thinking, until the resonance of love and gratitude comes streaming out from our whole being. One way is to give expression to words of love and gratitude to earth and nature.
We expressed our gratitude to Earth, Ocean, Mountain, Heavenly Phenomena, Sun, Water, Air, Minerals, Plants, Foods, Micro-biology, Animals, Land, and Universe at the park while enjoying the cherry blossoms.
I kept watching Ustream NHK and TBS Japanese TV news since the M9 earthquake and Tsunami on March 11, 2011. I realized most Japanese TV news are not telling the facts about Nuclear plant accident danger at all. They kept saying, "It's safe. The radiation beams and particles will not cause any problem to your health." I thought that's something wrong.
I started to watch other programs usually not aired on the major TV networks in Japan as follows:
Above, I wrote a summery of a seminar video of Suguru Tanaka, held in Osaka on 3/13/2011. He explained about radiation, why Japanese electric companies want to build nuclear power plants, and how electricity made by those nuclear plants are expensive, 3 times more than electricity rate in USA. By law, Japanese electric companies can make 3.5 percent profit of their costs. So, they keep pouring monies into expensive nuclear power plant constructions, media advertisements, and political contributions.
In Europe, especially in Germany and Iceland, they are using Geothermal Energy. It's low cost, environmentally friendly, and producing jobs. The geothermal power generators and power plants were developed and made by Japanese companies.
It's time Japan implement true democracy of energy, freedom of speech, and Economy. Let's consider using natural energies!
This weekend, on Saturday, March 26, 2011, "Go Japan Go! Fund-Raising event will be held at Miyako Hybrid Hotel, Torrance, California, a suburb of Los Angeles. The donation of $5 and up with a message to the Earthquake and Tsunami victims are welcomed. A psychic reader, Jim Watson, who cooperated solving crimes for LA City Police Department for a long time will be there, too.
From the original copy: The Hopi are praying the people of Japan and for the people around the world as we face crisis in our world out of balance. We are all in a time of great change upon mother earth and these events have been foretold by our Elders.
Through our Prophecies and our Ceremonies the sacred land of this earth is now crying. And our children are looking to Hopi to balance life for their future.
Our Elders have given us guidance for how to move through these changes. Humanity is now choosing the path upon which all life will follow and we have known this time would come.
As Hopi, we ask you to join us in prayer to balance mother earth and all life. We believe that, through our prayers and that if we pray with good hearts as told by our Elders, we can lesson the impact of these events.
We as the Hopi join our prayers with those of the Dalai Lama along with people from around the world to send healing to Japan, the earth and all life.
In this time of change, we ask all the people of the world to return to a more balanced way of life.
Hopi say there is a path to follow that allows for us to move through this time of change. Walk gently upon our earth with respect for her and all life. A return to connecting our heart with the heart of the path to the future.
Join your hearts to Hopi in honoring our Mother Earth by planting gardens, respecting our Sacred life giving waters and all life for future generations of our children.

The Kawai piano is to be auctioned off to help people who were affected by the M9 earthquake that hit Northern Japan on March 11, 2011. It will be held by the Yoshiki Foundation America.
The Japanese-born Yoshiki, who lives in Los Angeles, felt the earthquake tremors while in a Tokyo recording studio working on X Japan's first North American album, and was shocked by the large-scale damage across Japan. "It took awhile to locate my mother, but she is, thankfully, OK, said Yoshiki. I am praying for the people here who are still trying to locate their family and friends. I've decided to help out through music."
Here is Yoshiki playing that crystal piano at the first X JAPAN USA Tour, Los Angeles concert on Sept. 25, 2010. I took it from the standing only first floor space with being pushed by crowds. It was so hot as well. ↓

I visited South Coast Botanic Garden again on March 5, 2011 around noon. Cherry trees along Crenshaw Boulevard side probably passed the full bloom by a week. I will upload photos and a video clip. It's located on Crenshaw Blvd near PCH. in Rancho PV, a Los Angeles suburb.

Most of the Pink Cloud Flowering Cherry (a hybrid of Ooshima Sakura Cherry) trees were planted in the 1980's when horticulturalist and nurseryman Hodge Amemiya donated approximately 300 of these trees to the South Cost Botanic Garden. (I'm referring to the botanical garden's flyer regarding Cherry Blossom Picnic Day.)
In 2012, the United States and Japan will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Japanese gift of 3000 cherry blossom trees to the US in celebration of the friendship between the two countries. These original trees were planted in Manhattan, New York, and Washington D.C.
The cherry blossom is an omen of good fortune, emblem of love, affection, and enduring metaphor for the fleeting nature of life. "Hanami" is the centuries-old practice of picnicking under a blooming sakura (cherry) or ume (plum) tree.
It's been warm in Los Angeles from around Jan.10th this year. Cherry Blossom blooming waves will move up north from time to time...

It was a battle between "King's Speech" and "The Social Network". As the same as the critiques' projections, "King's Speech" won the best picture, best director, best script, and best actor--4 crowns.
"The Social Network" won the best screenplay writing, best music writing, and best editing--3 categories.
"The Social Network" tells how "Facebook", the largest SNS in the world started.
In order to shorten the movie playing time to 2 hours, all conversation scenes were fast forwarded during the editing. So, all the conversations are super fast! I'm curious how they will add subtitles in Japanese or other foreign languages.....
"King's Speech" is the true story of a British King, George VI. Colin Firth won the best actor.
"Black Swan"'s Natalie Portman won the best actress award. She trained ballet for the role for 10 months and got married to the choreographer. She is expecting a baby soon.
