It was my first Curry Rice in 5 months. It was served with organic Brown Rice. All organic ingredients are used. The Curry Sauce is homemade. It is Macrobiotic and had mild and gentle taste.

It was my first time tasting this. The Mouse is made of Tofu, Coconut Milk, and Lemon Juice and very creamy. Blueberry Sauce is poured on top. It's very rich and smooth. I could not believe it's made of Tofu.

It's Macrobiotic and healthy Strawberry Shortcake, little too sweet for me. Macrobiotics do not use Cow Milk, Eggs, and Sugar. It uses organic Soy, Rice, or Almond Milk for Cow Milk and organic Brown Rice Syrup or Maple Syrup for Sugar.

These sweets look similar to the ones at "Seed Kitchen" in Venice. The owner chef Eric at "Seed Kitchen" used to work for "M Cafe" La Brea until 4 and a half years ago. He made 30 kinds of Macrobiotic sweets at "M Cafe" by himself every day. He left all the recipes at "M Cafe" when he left. So, they make silimar looking desserts. 路上ミーターに停めたら、前がBMW車、後がベンツの大型、隣のバレー駐車上にはロールスロイスが停まってました。ミーターは、クレジットカードを入れたら、自動的に1時間半分$3チャージされました。〔ボタン押しても減額されません。) I parked at a street meter. It charged $3 for 1.5 hours automatically with a credit card. The front car was BMW and rear car was Mercedes Benz. A car in the valet parking near-by was a Rolls-Royce.

It's Taiwanese Vegetarian Chinese restaurant located in Monterey Park city, east side of Los Angeles. This restaurant was voted the best 6th Chinese restaurant in Los Angeles county according to CitySearch and ABC 7 TV news report.
This time it was two of us. We wanted to try many dishes, so we ordered "All You Can Eat". It's $13.95 for Adult and $8.95 for children. You can order two dishes, a Soup, Appetizer and Brown Rice at first per person. Then, you can order one dish each when you are almost done eating your food.

先日、「INAKA」でランチしました。"The Grove"モール側にあり、創業37年の老舗マクロビオティックと和食のレストランです。 (田舎盛り合わせ / INAKA PLate $14 ↓) "INAKA Restaurant, LA": We had a lunch there the other day. It's located near "The Grove" mall in Los Angeles. It's a Macrobiotic and Japanese restaurant for 37 years (since 1976). They serve Seafood, Fish Soup, Nabeyaki Soba or Udon noodles, and Ozoni Soup, too.

Macrobiotics recommend using Soy Sauce naturally brewed over a year with organic Soy Beans and home-made Sesame Seed & Salt for seasoning. Salt is Sea Salt. These were placed on each table.

くき茶 / Kuki Cha $3 with Free Refill (お替り付き) マクロビオティックはカフェインを控えるため、3年以上熟成させた番茶のくき茶を飲むことが多いです。 お茶は葉の部分にカフェインが多く、くきの部分は少ないそう。
Macrobiotics teaches to refrain caffeine, so practitioners drink Kuki cha (stem tea) that are naturally aged for over 3 years. Caffeine concentrates on leaves rather than stems of teas.
田舎どんぶり/INAKA Bowl $12 or $14 with Soup or Salad 冒頭の’田舎盛り合わせ’と同じ食材が量少なめに盛りあわされています。玄米ご飯、ヒジキ、豆腐白和え、ゴボウ、ブロッコリー、小豆、カボチャ、レンコン、ケール、大根、キャベツ。
It's a smaller serving of the same varieties as "INAKA Plate", the top photo. It has Brown Rice, Hijiki Sea Vegetable, Tofu Salad, Gobo Root (Burdock), Broccoli, Red Beans, Lotus Roots, Kabocha Squash, Kale, Daikon Radish, and Cabbage.

マクロビ合宿2日目は、クリスマスイブ。シェフ・エリックさん特性のマクロビ風クリスマスディナーをいただきました。 "Christmas Eve Dinner@North Fork": The second day at North Fork retreat was Christmas Eve. We enjoyed Macrobiotic Christmas dinner prepared by chef Eric.
It was sunny on Dec. 24, 2012. It rained the day before, so there were plenty of powder snow at the ski grounds. Eric went to skiing with earnest from early morning and prepared the Christmas dinner after his return in the late afternoon.
We drove to the top of the mountain where we can see the dam in North Fork. We relaxed there for 1 hour and meditated.
The top one third of Kabocha Squash was cut, engraved inside, stuffed with vegetables, and steam-roasted. It will be sliced and served with Gravy Sauce.
A plate with all of the food above. Only fresh and organic vegetables and grains are used. They were so delicious and kind to bodies.
野生アップルパイ Wild Apple Pie 近所の山でさなえさんとエリックさんが収穫してきた野生りんごを、エリックさんがカナダ風に「アップサイダウン」に焼いたアップルパイ。
Sanae and Eric picked these Wild Apples from a near-by mountain. Chef Eric made Canadian style "Up-side-down" Apple Pie.

Eric placed a plate on top of the above Apple Pie, flipped over, and poured simmered Apple Sauce on top.

ディナー後はギフトを開ける時間。猫のティンティンも犬6匹も1つずつクリスマスギフトを貰い、大喜び。 It was time to open Christmas gifts after dinner. Tin-tin, the cat and six dogs got individually wrapped gifts, and they were so happy.
クリスマス頃ヨセミテ近郊の「Mugen Retreat」にてマクロビオティック合宿しました。ロサンゼルスから高速を北へ飛ばして4時間から4時間半。ベニスの"Seed Kitchen"に寄って、「ホリデー丼」をテイクアウト。 (Holiday Bowl @ Seed Kitchen ↓ ) "Vegan Dinner, Mugen Retreat 1": I spent my Christmas holiday at "Mugen Retreat" in North Fork near Yosemite, CA. It's about 4 to 4.5 hours drive to North from Los Angeles. We got took out "Holiday Bowl" from "Seed Kitchen" in Venice on the way. The Holiday Bowl is only available at "Seed Kitchen" from November to December 28th every year. It has Kabocha Squash, Sweet Potato, Seitan, Kale, and Cranberry Sauce on top of Organic Brown Rice.
Eric and Sanae, a married couple who owns "Seed Kichen" purchased a six acre property with in North Fork, near Yosemite eight years ago. There are three old and abandoned buildings, a horse stable, and a newly remodeled 3 Bedroom lodge house, small rivers, bridges, and mountains.

Small rivers are naturally formed after rain and snow. Fallen leaves are accumulated. It was so beautiful with sunlight.
Here are Macrobiotic dinner the chef Eric made for us on Dec. 23, 2012. It was a casual dinner at the kitchen. All ingredients are vegetable. From Left, Cranberry Sauce, Seitan Pâté (foie gras flavor), Pickled Olive, Mushroom Pâté, and Crackers.

We chatted and relaxed while having appetizers. Eric home-made all of these Appetizers.
緑の野菜(青梗菜) Green Vegetable (Bok Choy) オーガニック無農薬チンゲンサイの緑色の部分のみ使用した贅沢な野菜料理。
Only the green portion of Organic Bok Choy were used.
Sanae and Eric have six Golden Retriever dogs and a cat. They take all dogs and the cat to North Fork all the time. Three of them are young, one and a half to two and a half years old, and they get excited during our dinner. We asked them to wait outside the dining room, and they kept staring at us through the door glass.

It' Organic, Vegan, and Macrobiotic Miso Ramen, using Konbu and Miso broth and without eggs in the noodle. We went to Seed Kitchen to taste it on Dec. 9, 2012.

Ramen Noodle season started at Seed Kitchen!!! You can order with just vegetable or add tempeh or special fried tofu or Chef Eric Lechasseur's original house made Seitan (photo)!!!
You can add Tofu, Tempeh, or Seitan with $3 more. For Tofu, you can choose Steamed or Deep Fried. Tempeh is made of Soy Beans. Seitan is made of Wheat Flour to resemble Beef Meat. Both of them are Eric's house made.
We garnished Organic Ao-nori Sea Vegetable on the Miso Godness Ramen. Roasted and lightly grated Sesame Seeds had good aroma and matched with Ao-nori. It was so good.

無料のカップケーキ Free Cup Cakes エリックさんが焼いたマクロビオティックなバニラとチョコレート・カップケーキ。どんどん無くなるので、次から次に出してくれました。砂糖を使わず、玄米シロップなどを使用。甘さひかえめで美味しかったです。
Chef Eric based these Macrobiotic Vanilla and Chocolate Cup Cakes. People keep coming in and eating these cup cakes, so he kept bringing new plates of these often. Sugar is not used, and Brown Rice Syrup was used. It's not too sweet, and delicious!
Steamed Kale, Bean Sprouts, Carrots, and Tempeh are placed over organic Steamed Brown Rice. Thempeh is made of Soy Beans. The Sauce was little bit spicy with Mastered.
The Curry Special for the day was Kabocha Pumpkin Curry.

Bean and Grain Burger with Lettuce, Vegan Soy Cheese, Guacamole, and Ancho Chili Spread. All Burgers are served on a Ciabatta or Wrap with a side of Vinaigrette Coleslaw.

She studied Macrobiotics and her health got better without a surgery in one year and became cancer free in 3 years. She continued studying Macrobiotics through Kushi Institute and became a Macrobiotic counselor and educator. She self-published her Macrobiotic cooking book, "Love, Sanae." She is also a co-author of "Love, Eric & Sanae" with her husband, Eric Lechasseur. Sanae and French Chef Eric opened "Seed Kitchen" in Venice, LA, CA 4 years ago.

マドンナのココナッツムース $5 Madonna's Coconut Mousse Eric used to be a chef of a singer, Madonna in London. She loves this Coconut Mousse since then. When she visits Los Angeles, she orders them.
