今日あやうく、海外版オレオレ詐欺にひっかかり、現金$500をフィリピンに送金するところでした。

'Stranded Traveler' Scam: I almost fell victim to this scam today. I was trying to send $500 cash to Philippines through Western Union.

今朝、次のEメールが友人のEメールアカントから来ました：
This morning I received the following email from a friend:

I'm writing this with great grievance . I'm presently in Manila Philippines.with my Family for a short vacation and we're stuck..And really it was unannounced.We were attacked by four armed robbers on our way back to the hotel where we lodged.we were robbed and completely embarrassed.

All our cash,credit cards and cellphone were stolen. We've reported the incident to the embassy and the Police but to my dismay they seem not bothered...their response was just too casual.Our flight leaves in few hours but We've got to settle our bills before We're allowed to leave....Now am freaked out....Please I need you to me loan some money,I promise to refund you as soon as I'm back home. All i need is $1,850 ..
Please Let me know what you can do?　Write me back so I can tell you how to get it to me..

ウエスターンユニオンのサイトからクレジットカード（Visa, MC, Discover)で送金可能。$500送金を試しましたが、クレジットカードの支払いを拒否されます。何度もクレジットカード会社に電話し、エージェントがOKと言っても、同サイトで支払い拒否されます。

仕方ないので、昼休みに銀行に行き、$500引き出し、近くのウエスターンユニオン扱い店に行きました。
送金する直前、「待てよ。これってひょっとしたらオレオレ詐欺かも？」と思い、共通の友人Mさんに電話。

友人Mさんは、「同じ文章のEメールを別の人の名前語ってもらったことある。これは、Eメールアカウントをハックした詐欺と思う。」とのこと。

I tried to send $500 to this friend in Philippines through Western Union's website. You can send money in minutes by credit cards (Visa, MC, Discover). But the credit card payment was denied on the website. I called the Credit Card company, and the agent said "OK to charge". But still it was denied at the WU website. I went to my bank, got $500 cash, and drove to a Western Union agent near-by.

At the last minute, I thought, "What if this was a scam?"

I called our mutual friend M and asked her about it.
She replied, "I received the same Email posing another friend before. I believe this is a scam. Her email account must have been hacked and used."

友人の身元確認の質問を１つメールすると、怒ったかんじの返信が来ました。肝心の質問には答えません。
I emailed one question to identify the friend. The reply came as below:

Is this just because i asked you of help.. why have you decided to treat me like this, i want you to know that we're meant to help each other. I know this is unusual but you are the only person i could reach at this point and I'm doing everything i can so i can work my way out of here peacefully but there is nothing really working out, most important is that my flight leaves in hours from now and I really need your help. If i wasn't the one i won't have ask you to send the money to my name as we both know i will need some kinda verification before i can pick up the money. Thank God i still have my passport with me for verification.

同じEメールが去年5月ごろ、テキサス州のTV局員にも送られたそうです。

I searched "Philippines, scam" on Internet, and I found some articles about this scam. A same email was sent to a TV staff in Texas in May 2012.

アメリカ大統領選挙11月6日火曜日の投票まじかです。民主党オバマ大統領と共和党候補ロムニー氏の大口スポンサー企業を見ると、どちらに投票しても変わらない気がします。
US Presidential Election will be November 6, 2012, and it's pretty soon. By looking at the corporate sponsors of Democratic President Obama and Republican candidate Romney, there is not much difference on who you cast a vote.
Both candidates are sponsored by big banking corporations, such as Citigroup, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, and Morgan Stanley. Either candidate will continue bailing out banking industries. Some resources say these central banks are supplying funds for war industries. So wars will continue with either candidate for at least another 4 years.

President Obama is sponsored by GE. GE is a big conglomerate for Defense (war) industries and nuclear power plants. No wonder he approved new construction of 2 nuclear power plants last February. He is the first US president to do so in 34 years.

I watched What's at Stake: PBS Election 2012 on PBS channel last Friday, 11-2-2012. It stated National debts is over $16 trillion and 20 million Americans are unemployed right now. Over 80 corporate leaders urged Obama administration last month to do something to Economy, otherwise, many companies will go bankrupt by the end of year, and another 2 million people will be unemployed at January 1-2013.

Millions of baby boomers will turn 65. Fixing Meicare is becoming more difficult. Experts say Midicate will only be able to pay expenses only for another 12 years. The number of seniors will double by year 2030. Neither candidate provides successful solutions to these issues.

今晩アメリカ大統領選ディベートが開催されます。共和党大統領候補のロムニーと民主党現大統領オバマの一騎打ちディベート3回戦の1回目。他党の大統領候補者は参加不可。東部時間午後9時、西部時間6時から。

It does not allow participation of other Presidential candidates. My concerns are "Obamacare" healthcare, Nuclear Plan Policy, Economy, Military, and Environment protection.

自分が関心あるのは、「オバマケア」国民健康保険、原発政策、経済、軍事、環境保護です。
とくに関心あるのが、「オバマケア」。1000ページ以上の条項の中には、国民の医療保険管理のために、”マイクロチップまたはそれに等しいディバイスを埋め込む”とあります。これは36ヶ月以内（2013年3月23日まで）に施行されるそうです。

In 2010, my book “Are You Ready for the Microchip?” was released, and I asked the question, “Is the microchip implant hidden in the Healthcare Bill? Are newborn children starting in 2013 going to receive a microchip shortly after birth?” Then in the book, I wrote, “ In the massive US HEALTHCARE BILL, which your elected representatives voted for without reading, there is a section titled: Subtitle C-11 Sec. 2521 – National Medical Device Registry which states:

“The Secretary shall establish a national medical device registry (in this subsection referred to as the ‘registry’) to facilitate analysis of postmarket safety and outcomes data on each device that—‘‘(A) is or has been used in or on a patient; and ‘‘(B) is a class III device; or ‘‘(ii) a class II device that is implantable.”

The language is deliberately vague, but it provides the structure for making America the first nation in the world that would require every U.S. citizen to receive an implanted radio-frequency (RFID) microchip for the purpose of controlling medical care.

President Ronald Reagan refused to pass what he called this “Mark of the Beast” legislation. In my book, “Are You Ready for the Microchip?,” I examine the careful wording in the Health Care Bill which calls for a Med-Chip and a microchip implant. It was never hidden, it is simply Republican and Democrat, along with our corporate-controlled and Orwellian media, who deliberately chose to ignore it.

The Bilderberg Group gave orders to microchip the entire U.S. population and then the world. Before the Health Care Bill was passed, the target date was set for the year 2013, when every baby born in the U.S. will receive a microchip at birth.

Also to fund Obamacare, Federal income tax will be increased by average 2.2% to every tax payer in USA. If your annual income is $50,000, you will see $1,200 tax increase. If you are among the top rich, you will see $52,000 tax increase.

He served two terms as a governor of New Mexico from 1995 to 2003. He reduced numbers of state workers and state assmblymen and multiplied over-all employment in the state. He turned around the state budget from the deficit to 1.5 billion dollar surplus.

He was supporting the Republican candidate, Ron Paul. He has similar political agenda. He wants to abolish FRB (Federal Reserve Board), pull all military troops from the world, a small government, and tax reduction, etc.

先週末9月28日夜から30日（金土日）の間405番フリーウエイが一部閉鎖されました。サンタモニカ10番フリーウエイからベンチュラ101番フリーウエイまでの10マイルの距離。2011年7月中旬に続く2度目の『カーマゲドン』でした。

"Carmageddon II" forced many people in LA to stay home, because 10-mile section of the San Diego (405) Freeway between 10 freeway and 101 freeway was closed from September 28 night to September 30, 2012 night. This was the second "Carmaggedon" following one in mid July 2011.

今回は2度目だし、外出を控えた人、UCLA大学や付近の病院で週末働く人など、職場でキャンプあうとしたらしく、信じられないぐらい空いてました。昨日ABC7で紹介された視聴者の写真では、閉鎖中の区間でスケートボードをしたり、ねころがっがりして写真撮影楽しんだ人も居たようです。

It was the second time.　Many people affected stayed home or camped out at UCLA college, or place or work, such as hospitals. So, 405 Free Way between LAX and 10 Free way had unbelievably very light traffic. ABC7 displaced viewers photos, people skate-boarding or lying down on the closed section of 405 Fwy.

2nd Pray for Japan Event will be held from 11:30 am on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at MLB Urban Youth Academy in Compton, CA.

2011年3月11日に東北を襲った大震災で、1,112人の子供たちが両親を失ったそうです。そこでPLAY FOR JAPANは被災地の一つ宮城県からロサンゼルスへ子供たちを招待。それぞれの子供たちが夢を持ってまっすぐに思いやりをもって人生を前進できるよう応援したいと考え、8月24日にロサンゼルス・ドジャーズゲーム観戦、8月26日にアメリカの中学生との野球交流試合を予定しています。

1,112 children lost both of their parents with 3-11-11 Earthquake and Tsunami in Eastern Japan. "Pray for Japan" invited children from Miyagi, one of the disaster stricken prefecture to Los Angeles in hopes of expanding their dreams and possibilities. They will be playing baseball games against U.S. Middle School Baseball teams and watch a LA Dodgers baseball game.

7月11日夜作家米谷ふみ子さんの講演会に行った。サウスベイビジネスセミナー主催。その講演会前に、アメリカ女子プロアメフト選手鈴木弘子さんから、署名のお願いがありました。緊急なので先に掲載します。

Justice for Sho Funai killed by drunk driving hit-and-run:
A few days ago I learned about the death of Sho Funai, a 23-year-old engineer who was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Ocean Beach, San Diego last March. His family is asking for justice.

The driver, 19-year-old Nikolette Gallo (who was 18 at the time of the accident), struck Sho from behind, left him to die, and only turned herself into police the next day, after seeing news reports about the accident.

Despite admitting to drinking several shots of vodka and smoking marijuana before getting in a car that evening, without sufficient evidence of driving under the influence, Gallo was only charged with a hit-and-run. She pled guilty earlier this month.

Gallo is scheduled to be sentenced on July 26. The judge is apparently "considering probation and some sort of custody or alternatives to custody at the time of sentencing." However, Sho Funai's loved ones are calling for a harsher sentence:

5月18日と19日宮城県で支援する「め組JAPAN」に参加しました。この目で復興の足跡と現状を見ました。
野田総理が訴えるような広域ガレキ処理問題は存在しなかった。人の住まない海沿いに積み上げられたガレキ。復興の邪魔になってません。それより横浜国立大学の宮脇教授や東北大学岡教授の提唱するガレキを使った防波森の建設が好ましいです。

"Debris Needed for Seawall Forest": I traveled to and saw the disaster area in Eastern Japan on May 18 and 19, 2012 by joining "Megumi-Japan" non-profit organization that has been helping the disaster area since 3-11-2011. The debris are piled up at the coastal line where nobody lives now, so they are not in anybody's way. Prime Minister Noda has been urging other Japanese cities and towns to accept the debris from the disaster area, but such problem did not exist.

The professor Miyawaki of Yokohama National University has been suggesting to make a Tsunami Seawall Forest along the coastal line in Eastern Japan. The debris are needed for that project.

先生は震災後、すぐに東北にかけつけ「瓦礫を使った緑の防波堤を東北に造ろう！」
とずっと言い続けていた。

今、先生の思いに共鳴した、元首相の細川護煕さんが理事長になり、倉本聰さんや、秋本康さん、アートディレクターの人達も理事になり「瓦礫を活かす森の長寿プロジェクト」という財団が出来たんよ。

さてさて、ついに岩手県の大槌町で第一回目の瓦礫を活かした防波堤を造る為の植林が行われてん。

この瓦礫を使った植林の何が凄いかというと、この植林にはめっちゃ瓦礫が必要で先生の計算だと、防波堤造りを東北の海岸沿いにした場合、今の瓦礫ではが足らないぐらいなんやて。（必要なガレキ全体の5%に満たない。）

そうやねん、この植林を東北で全面的にやったら、もう県外に持って行く必要が一切ないってことやねん。
また、お金を全部、震災地で使えるから地域経済が豊かになるってことやねん。

そして、さらに素晴らしいのが植林やから、子どもからおじいちゃんおばあちゃんまでが参加出来るということ。
植林を仕事にしたら、多くの雇用も出来るよね。

さらに、町づくりに参加することで街をさらに好きになる。

さらに、おそらくこの森が大きくなればなるほど、森は海の恋人やから魚が増える。
漁師さんも大喜びになる。

政治の仕事は決断すること。
そして、俺ら市民の役割は政治家にこういう情報を伝えたり、それを実行してくれる政治家を応援すること。
もう、問題は解決されている。

それじゃ～最後に宮脇先生の言葉を伝えるわね。

「どうか、前向きに考えましょう。命を守る森、地域経済と経済と共生する森、地球環境で世界に評価される本物」

Tentsukuman wrote on his blog about this recently. I pick out and translate some portion of the article below.

Professor Miyawaki rushed to the Eastern Japan disaster area and suggested, "Let's make Seawall Forests using the debris in Eastern Japan." He continued to propose the idea.

A project team was formed. The former prime minister, Morihiro Hosokawa became the project chairman. Other famous people such as Soh Kuramoto, Yasushi Akimoto, and some other art directors joined the team.

Finally, the first planting was held in Iwate Prefecture in late May, 2012.

The merits of making the Seawall forests are numerous. The top merit is it requires huge volume of the debris. According to Professor Miyawaki's calculation, there are not enough debris to make Seawall Forests along the disaster area in Eastern Japan (it's only less than 5 % of required debris).

So, if we construct Seawall forests along the coastal line of the disaster area in Eastern Japan, there is no need to spread the debris to all over Japan. It also creates massive jobs and bring millions of funds and money to Eastern Japan.

Also many people can participate planting of the forests, including children and older people. By participating the projects, people will like the towns and cities even more.

By creating Seawall forests, the Ocean will be revived and there will be more fish. The fishermen in the area will benefit from it as well.

The role of politicians is to make decisions.
And our roles are to inform the politicians and support the politicians who can make them happen. The problem is already solved.

"Let's think positive. Forests that protect lives, Forests that coexist with the Earth and Economy, and the Forests that can be praised around the world for the Earth environment--they can be created."

"It's a chance to make it happen. Let's make forests for the memorial of the 20,000 plus victims and the forests of hope to protect lives of the survivors. Let's start from what we can do for you and me. It's our chance right now."

5月2日はX JAPANのHIDEの命日でした。1998年享年33歳で死去。
自殺を思わせる死でした。彼の魂は、「自殺するつもりはなかった。メンバーに伝えて欲しい。」と言ってます。

Hide of X JAPAN passed away on May 2, 1998. His death was thought to be a suicide, but Hide's soul says, "I did not mean to commit a suicide. Please tell X Japan members about this."

このHIDEからのメッセージは2月にみえさんにオーラ・リーディングしてもらったとき、 終わりのほうで、みえさんが思い出して語ってくれたことです。

X JapanのYOSHIKIさんをＴＶなどで見かけると、 銀色のオーラ。
銀色は、宇宙的。

私もYOSHIKIを初めて見たときから、 宇宙の愛（Universal LOVE) を感じた。。。

4年前の6月にみえさんがシャワー浴びてる最中に、X JAPANのHideが、
『自分は自殺したんじゃない。 どうか、Ｘのメンバーに伝えて欲しい。
あの日自分はめちゃくちゃ酔って帰宅した。
自宅の床がつるっつるっすべって、 何とか体勢をととのえようと、踏ん張ったら、 誤って、首が絞まってしまった。事故だった。 本当に、自分は自殺なんて　夢にも思ってなかった。死んじゃったもんは仕方ないけど、自殺とは思われたくない。 どうか、メンバーにこのことを伝えて欲しい。』

と訴えてきたそうです。。。

私がＸＪＡＰＡＮ好きなのと、ＸＪＡＰＡＮがらみのブログを時々書いてるので、メンバーにも伝わるかも、と私にブログに書くよう伝えてくれました。

This Hide's message was delivered to a friend, Mie. She recalled and told me about it while I was getting a spiritual reading from her last February.

Whenever Mie sees Yoshiki of X Japan on TV, he is surrounded by Silver aura. Silver means "universal".

When I saw Yoshiki for the first time, I also felt "Universal Love".

Around in June 2008, while Mie was taking shower, Hide appeared and told her, "I did not commit a suicide. Please tell X JAPAN members about this. That night I returned home very very drunk. The hardwood floor was very slippery. As I tried to get a hold of myself, it slipped and made me choke my neck to death. It was an accident. I did not even dream about committing a suicide. I'm already dead, but I don't want them to think I committed a suicide. Please, please tell X JAPAN members about this."

Mie knew I'm a fan of X JAPAN and wrote some blog articles about X JAPAN in the past, so she thought it's better that I write about this on my blog. X JAPAN members might see this blog.

ｈｉｄｅさん　日本初「キャンバスＣＤ」発売　亡くなる３日前の写真使う
　９８年５月２日に死去したＸ　ＪＡＰＡＮのギタリスト、ｈｉｄｅさん（享年３３）の３枚組ＣＤボックス「ＳＰＩＬＩＴ」が、日本初の「キャンバスＣＤ」として７月１８日に発売される。

　ＣＤなどを収めるケースに、絵画で使われるキャンバス地を採用。ここに生前の写真がプリントされる。約５０センチ四方で、壁に飾ることも可能な仕様だ。「キャンバスＣＤ」は昨年、ドイツで初めて登場。

　発売元のレコード会社担当者が「ジャケットそのものをアートにしよう」と採用。鋭い眼光で遠くを見つめるｈｉｄｅさんの写真を選んだ。

　亡くなる３日前の９８年４月２９日に撮影され、当日は生前最後のフォトセッションとなった。音楽誌「ＵＶ」に掲載され、七回忌のタイミングで開催されたフィルムコンサートでも紹介されている。

　ｈｉｄｅさんも生前、衣装はもちろん、ギターのデザインなどに相当なこだわりを持っていた。担当者は「音楽、アートの両面を楽しんでほしい」と話している。

　ボックスには「ＨＩＤＥ　ＹＯＵＲ　ＦＡＣＥ」「ＰＳＹＥＮＣＥ」「Ｊａ’Ｚｏｏ」のソロアルバム３作を収め、１万６８００円。完全受注限定生産で、２５日から５月２１日までウェブサイト「ユニバーサルミュージックストア」で予約を受け付ける。

Hide's new 3 Canvas CD box set will be released through Universal Music Store Japan's website on July 18, 2012. They are for the limited production. The order must be placed by May 20, 2012 thorough the website. The price is 16,800 yen ($217). It uses Hide's photo taken 3 days prior to his death.

The Canvas CD is 50 cm times 50 cm big and uses a Canvas linen as a cover. It was first invented in Germany. Hide's picture will be printed on the Canvas linen.

ガレキ受け入れは東電、東電の子会社、大手ゼネコン、政治家などの利権がらみです。
広域処理は、放射性廃棄物は拡散してはいけない（希釈禁止の原則）という国際的合意に反するものです。
世界が狂気の沙汰とあきれています。

500ベクレルの農畜産物、200ベクレルの汚泥肥料、100ベクレルのセメントが国の政策で流通しています。
汚染瓦礫を受け入れるということは、これらに汚染ガレキによる被曝がプラスされるということです。

幸運にも汚染を免れた西日本の役割は、ガレキを受け入れることではなく、 人（避難者）を受け入れること、被災地に汚染されていない農作物を供給することです。

On 3/11/2012, Japanese prime minister Noda had speech to spread the radioactive debris to all over Japan. It is assumed that they will take radioactive debris even to Okinawa in April.

At this moment, it’s highly likely that citizens will fail.
Contaminated food is still served at school lunch, and on the shelves of the supermarkets. Decontamination is becoming the business to be beneficial for the government.
There is the concrete fact that people can no longer change the situation legally.

We believe the radiation will spread to surrounding countries and all over the world. It will kill millions of people. The radioactive materials should be locked up in a few places and not to be spread according to international nuclear waste agreements.
Prime Minister Noda, are you ready to pay for the consequences? Please stop spreading readioactive debris to all over Japan any more.

Burning radioactive debris will concentrate the radiation for 33 times more. Thus, very dangerous to billions of people around the globe.

Tokyo already accepted and burned the debris last November. The debris was processed by Tokyo Coastal Recycle Power, a subsidiary of TEMPCO, that caused Fukushima Nuclear meltdown accident.

The coastal debris in Miyagi and Iwate prefectures are also radioactive. They are lower than Fukushima, but if you burn the debris, radiation and other toxic materials will be concentrated for 33.3 times more.

東京都は昨年11月瓦礫を受け入れ焼却処理しました。処理したのは、95%東京電力の子会社・東京臨海リサイクルパワー社でした。東京都は東京電力の筆頭株主です。この時200億円の受注だったそうです。

日本政府は宮城、岩手、福島県の2割のガレキ広域処理に2000億円以上投じまた受け入れ自治体に新たにガレキ処理場を建設する意向です。しかし被災県でのガレキ処理場建設には乗り気でありません。矛盾しています。

Mothers in Fukushima are also against this.
They said, "Please do NOT accept debris. It will be too late to find out the truth and radiation effects after it happens. Don't waste our sorrows."

Japanese government is willing to spend more than 2 billion dollars to spread and process 20% of the debris from Fukushima, Miyagi, and Iwate. They are even willing to construct new waste processing plants in those areas. But they are not willing to construct waste processing plants in Miyagi, Iwate, and Fukushima, the affected area. It does not make any sense.

春ですね～。「第1回トーレンス桜祭り」が開催されるそうです。3月4日午前11時から午後3時までコロンビア公園にて。今年1月21日で創立100周年を迎えたトーレンス市の100周年記念行事の一環だそうです。

同桜祭りは、コロンビア公園の南東の角、190番通りとプレーリー街の角辺りで桜の下で行われるそう。

The free festival will be held beneath 110 cherry trees planted in the southeast corner of Columbia Park near the intersection of 190th Street and Prairie Avenue in north Torrance.
　
ここに桜が植樹されたのは2002年から。2001年7月にトーレンス方面在住の創価学会メンバーからの寄付で、毎年10本ずつ植樹され、現在110本の桜が公園の南東の角辺りに植えられています。

The fund for the trees were donated by the Buddhist organization Soka Gakkai International over the last 10 years at the suggestion of a Torrance resident who is a member of the group. They planted 10 trees a year since 2002, so it's the 10th anniversary this year.

1週間前から開花しはじめました。2月26日に同公園に行き、桜、植物、太陽、天象、大自然に感謝して美しい桜の花を愛でてきました。

It started to bloom a week ago. I went to the park on Feb. 26, 2012, sent my gratitude to Cherry trees, plants, Sun, heavenly phenomena, and the great mother nature and enjoyed the beautiful cherry blossoms.

2月26日南に面したところは満開。奥の方はまだあまり咲いてなかったです。3月4日はもっと多くの桜が開花して美しいことでしょう。

Cherry trees facing the south near 190th Street were at full bloom, but cherry trees in the center of the area were not blooming, yet on Feb. 26, 2012.
It must be spectacular with many more cherry trees blooming around March 4, 2012.

優しい光に包まれた桜の花。いい香りがして癒されました。

Cherry blossoms were enveloped by soft lights. They had beautiful fragrance and healed my soul and spirits.

帰宅してお茶をたて、ミカワヤの白あん桜餅をいただきました。やっぱし桜と云えば桜餅です。

3月3日はひな祭りですね～。。まだ雛人形出してませんでした。。。(汗）

I had Mikawaya's Sakura Mochi Rice Cake and Macha Green Tea at home after that. This Sakura Mochi had white sweet bean paste inside. It was so good. Cherry (Sakura) always reminds me of Sakura Mochi.

Also it's Girl's day on March 3rd in Japan. I forgot to pull out my Hina dolls at home...

来週3月10日と11日にはロサンゼルスでも「3－11東日本復興チャリティーイベント」が目白押しです。
近いうちに特集組んでまとめますね～。。

5年ものマクロビ梅干再販のお知らせです。
シャスタ"Vivify"のあや子さんが2010年5月から2011年5月まで1年間ご好意とボランティアで発送してくださいました。あや子さんは、2011年7月10日に天に召され、この梅干販売がサンフランシスコの「ミラ・スーパーマーケット」のみとなっていました。

"Macrobiotic Umeboshi Pickled Plums" are sold again. It was sold at $20 per pound (456 gram) by Ayako of "Vivify" restaurant in Mt. Shasta from May 2010 to May 2011. Ayako was doing this as a volunteer to help out Kazuko who made these Macrobiotic Umeboshi Pickled Plums in Chico, California. Ayako passed away on July 10, 2011. The sale of Macrobiotic Umeboshi was limited at "Mira Super Market" in San Francisco and there was no orders for shipment.

After the 1986 Chernobyl disaster, thousands of people suffered Thyroid cancer. Kazuko was requested to send out her 5 year aged organic and macrobiotic Umeboshi pickled plums to Chernobyl by Macrobiotic association in East Coast USA. Kazuko sent out a lot of them. As a result, only the people who ate Kazuko's Macrobiotic Umeboshi pickled plums survived.

Kazuko is 82 years old now and lives in a retirement home.

現在アメリカ国会で審議中の「インターネット監視法案」。Protect IP Act (PIPA)が上院、"Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA)"が下院で審議中。来週24日にPIPAの審議が上院で始まる。可決されれば、インターネット・ダークエージが始まる。2週間前反対派は、民主党上院議員5名のみ。（上院定員100名中。）

Stop PIPA & SOPA: Two bills before Congress, known as the Protect IP Act (PIPA) in the Senate and the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) in the House, would censor the Web and impose harmful regulations on American business. Millions of Internet users and entrepreneurs already oppose SOPA and PIPA. A few weeks ago, only 5 Democratic senators were opposing PIPA. If the two bills pass, many websites will be shut-down, and Internet Dark Age will begin.

The Senate will begin voting on January 24th.

To protest SOPA and PIPA, Wikipedia did 24 hour strike yesterday. Google's homepage photo was blacked out. Also I watched NBC local TV news broadcast about this a little last night. Until yesterday, most major network did not cover this topic at all. Most US TV stations are owned by Movie Entertainment industries. This became a hot topic finally.

この法案が国会で審議中なのを去年11月に知り、ブログ更新がおっくうになってました。FC２ブログはFC2ブログ、FC2ホームページ、FC2動画サイトなどいろいろあります。この法案通過後、１つでも著作権違反の写真か動画がアップされれば、このブログもFC2サイトもろとも閉鎖されるわけです。ブログ更新のモティベーションがあがりません。

I found about these bills being discussed in Senate and Congress last November, and I did not feel like updating my blog articles much. FC2 has FC2 blogs, FC2 homepages, and FC2 Video sites. If one of the photo or video clip violates copyright, the entire FC2 site will be shut-down including this blog. I lost my motivation to update my blog, then.

東日本復興カフェ＠ＬＡが11－11－11の11時11分から阿野陽子さんの呼びかけで開催されました。東日本復興を願い日本時間11月11日午後7時から2時間、全国各地で行われたフォーラムです。

"Support for Japan Forum@LA": was held from 11:11 am on 11-11-11 with Ms. Yoko Ano's suggestion. This event was held from 7 pm to 9 pm throughout Japan on 11-11-11.

瀬川エイタさんの呼びかけで南三陸町の有志の皆さんが「絆レインボウフラッグ」を手つくりし、全国47都道府県とロスとサンフランシスコから、被災地の人々への寄せ書きを集めたものを全長111m以上に縫い合わせ、11月11日11時から南三陸町4箇所で復興を願い掲げられました。

It was called upon by Mr. Eita Segawa to make "Kizuna Rainbow flag". The flag was hand-made by people in Minami Sanriku-cho where the 3-11 Big Earthquake and Tsunami swept many parts of the town. Over 10,000 Messages (at least from 200 people on each flag) were written on the Kizuna Rainbow flag at 47 prefecture in Japan, in Los Angeles, and in San Francisco. The flags were sewed together to make over 111 meter (340 ft) Rainbow flag. The Rainbow flag was displayed and weaved at 4 different locations in Minami Sanrikucho from 11:11 am on 11-11-11.

マルカイマーケットさんのご協力で、レインボウフラッグへの寄せ書きをそのマーケットの来店客130名にしていただきました。10月30日日曜日でした。

Thanks to cooperation of Marukai Market, messages from 130 customers were written on the Rainbow flag.

この後阿野陽子さんと共にレインボウフラグは同じガーディナ市内のケン・ナカオカ・ホールのコンサート会場へ。そちらで78名の方が寄せ書きをしてくれたそう。
翌日、アーバインのチャンドラー・ヨガ＆ヒーリングでも寄せ書きが集まり、総勢233名の寄せ書きが集まり、11月3日3時33分に南三陸町向けに送ったそうです。

Ms. Yoko Ano took the rainbow flag to the concert hall of Ken Nakaoka Hall. 78 people wrote messages there. Some more messages were written next day at "Chandler Yoga & Healing" in Irvine, CA. 233 people wrote messages on the Rainbow flag in total, and it was sent to Minami Sanriku-cho, Japan at 3:33 pm on 11-3-11.

From 11:11 am on 11-11-11, we held "Fukko Cafe"@LA to support victims and survivors of Japan Big Earthquake, Tsunami, and Nuclear Power plant Accident. Right is the macrobiotic chef, Mr. Hideki Kawai.

同プロジェクト主催者から送られたDVDを見て、1分間の黙祷、3-11-11の大震災のこと、復興援助のことなど1時間ほど懇談。

We watched the DVD sent from the project organizer, had a moment of silence for 1 minute, and discussed about 3-11-11 disaster and what we can do to help for about 1 hour.

「ホープ・フォー・ジャパン」。全長110メートルのレインボーフラッグは、2010年広島原爆ドームで掲げられました。

今日7月21日サンディエゴで開催中の「コミック・コン2011」にてYOSHIKI 、スタン・リー氏、トッド・マックファーレン氏らが手がけた新作コミック本シリーズ「ブラッド・レッド・ドラゴン」が発表されました。

Entertainment (OTCQB: POWN), music superstar and humanitarian Yoshiki, and world renowned comic book artist Todd McFarlane announced unveil the debut issue of the highly anticipated comic book series Blood Red Dragon at "Comic-Con 2011 International" from 1 pm on Thursday, July 21, 2011.

Lee, McFarlane and Yoshiki, on whom the comic¹s central superhero is based, presented the first installment of Blood Red Dragon, which features a surprise and first-of-its-kind publishing innovation that combines the unique skills of these three world-renowned artists. Lee, McFarlane, and Yoshiki will join established and respected comic book writer Jon Goff in a panel discussion at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront hotel in the Indigo room on Thursday, July 21st from 1pm-2pm. It was followed by press interviews from 2-3:30pm.

Blood Red Dragon Issue #0, the first in the series published by Todd McFarlane Productions, focuses on the origin of an ancient and benevolent force, locked in an epic battle with the dark armies of Oblivion. 今週末7月15日夜から17日（金土日）の間405番フリーウエイが一部閉鎖されます。サンタモニカ10番フリーウエイからベンチュラ101番フリーウエイまでの10マイルの距離です。この高速道路閉鎖は、「カーマゲドン」と命名されたそう。

"Carmageddon" might just be a good reason to stay home, because alternate routes around the closed 10-mile section of the San Diego (405) Freeway between 10 freeway and 101 freeway from July 15 night to July 17, 2011 are likely to be jammed. "We believe the streets will be totally gridlocked," Sherman Oaks resident Richard Tyler, who lives near Sepulveda Boulevard, told the Los Angeles Times. "We don't think we will be able to get out ... We even wonder how the mailman will get around."

7月15日金曜日７PMごろ、10番と101番から405番へ合流する通路が閉鎖される。

これは１ビリオンドルプロジェクトの一環で、HOVレーンを追加する工事のため。
Caltrans (キャルトランズ)によれば、405番フリーウエイは実際10PMごろ閉鎖される。工事終了後405番フリーウエイがオープンするのは、7月18日月曜日朝5時ごろ。全ての通路がオープンするのは６AMごろの予定。

On Friday, July 15, ramps to the 405 between the 10 and 101 will begin shutting down around 7 p.m. as part of the $1 billion project which will make room for additional HOV lanes. The actual freeway will begin closing at 10 p.m. and start reopening around 5 a.m., with all ramps open by 6 a.m. Monday, according to Caltrans.

Kiewit Infrastructure, the company that originally built the overpass and will now be removing it, will be docked $6,000 for every 10 minutes they pass the deadline for each direction of the freeway―as much as $12,000 for the north and southbound lanes. That's about $72,000 per hour.

Kiewit will have 53 hours to complete the project. In addition to the demolition, they will be putting down―and later removing―a 6 foot layer of sand over the roadway to protect it from falling concrete and debris.

The fines go into effect after 6 a.m. on Monday, July 18, 2011.

If you need to pass around the area for "Carmageddon", it's better to leave work early on Friday, July 15, 2011 and stay home on July 16th and 17th. The section of the free way is the busiest freeway in U.S.A. with 300,000 cars per day pass by.

昨日6月25日ガーディナJCIカーニバル2階にて偶然「ヒロシ・ビバリーヒルズ」のカリスマ美容師ヒロシ・キタムラ氏の福島被災地レポートをお聞きできた。震災直後に仕事で東京に行き、一生後悔しないため被災地福島に向かい5月末に帰国。ニュースで知れない現地レポートを話してくださった。ガーディナJCIカーニバルは6月26日まで開催中。

"Hiroshi's Fukushima Report": Hiroshi Kitamura is a karismatic hairdresser for many celebrities at "Hiroshi Beverly Hills". He went to Tokyo on business right after the 3-11-2011 M9 Japan Earthquake. He decided to visit Fukushima where they were hit by the strong earthquake, Tsunami, and Nuclear Power Plant accidents---triple disasters.

At Gardena Valley JCI Carnival yesterday, June 25, 2011, He gave us a first-hand speech about Fukushima. He came back from there in end of May, 2011. The Gardena Valley JCI Carnival is being held until June 26, 2011.

"The disaster and depression is beyond your imagination", Hiroshi Kitamura talks in English to the audiences.

「想像してみてください。最愛の人、親や子供をなくし、住居もなくし、全てをなくしたら、どう思いますか。」

"Imagine loosing your loved ones, parents, children or partners, your house and belonging, everything. How do you feel?

避難所では一家族段ボール箱１つほどのスペースです。2週間ぐらいなら我慢できるでしょう。1ヶ月経つとかなりのストレスです。アパートを借りたり、親戚宅を頼り避難所を出る被災者も多い。
At the shelter, one household stays in one cardboard space. Maybe it's OK for a couple of weeks, but it gets more than a month, it's very stressful. Many people moved out of shelters, getting an apartment or staying with relatives in other parts of Japan.

岩手県、宮城県、福島県の３県の海岸部では数十年前から学校で津波批難訓練が行われている。

「津波が来たら、すぐ小さい子やお年寄りを連れて高台に逃げる。」
今回の震災後もその教訓を生かした人の多くが助かった。津波は一瞬。一瞬の迷いが命取りなる。「オカネを忘れた、お母さんを忘れた」などと引き返して津波にのまれた人が多い。

In Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima prefecture's coastal regions, they have been doing Tsunami escape drills for many years at school.

"When Tsunami comes, grab a small one and or an old person and run up to the highest hill in the area."
Many people followed the teaching and survived the Tsunami. When Tsunami comes, one moment is very crucial. "Oh, I forgot money. Oh, I forgot my old mother," people said and went back to their houses and swallowed by Tsunami waves.

3－11の震災後ビバリーヒルズ市、ロサンゼルス市、サンタモニカ市に呼びかけ、ヘアードレッサーにも呼びかけ、各都市で200人ずつの美容師がヘアーカットし収入を全て米国赤十字に寄付するイベントを数回行った。
でもその収益金の15%しか被災地に行かないことがわかった。日本赤十字社は今回100％を被災地に届けることを約束してくれた。

In the cities of Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, and Santa Monica, Hirosi organized hair cut charity events after the 3-11-2011 disaster. In each city, 200 hairdressers cut hair, and the proceeds were sent to American Red Cross. He organized such event for several times.

Hiroshi found out only 15% of the donation will be sent to the affected area in Japan. This time, Japan Red Cross promised to send 100% to the affected area.

被災者はファイター。オカネを寄付してもらうより、仕事をもらった方がいい。風評被害で観光客や仕事が減った。

本当に被災した福島県、宮城県、岩手県のことを思うなら、現地で安全な地域の温泉などに観光に来て地元でオカネを使って欲しい。
東京は安全。大阪も福岡も安全。福島、岩手、宮城県も安全な地域、被害が少なかった地域はたくさんある。

They are fighters. They don't want you to send money. They'd rather you come visit Fukushima, Miyagi, and Iwate prefectures and spend money there or do business with them.

If you really care about them, please visit the hotsprings and spend money in these 3 prefectures. There are many safe and beautiful hotsprings and area there.
Tokyo is safe. Osaka and Fukuoka are safe. There are many places did not suffer damages in Fukushima, Iwate, and Miyagi, too.

ガーディナJCIカーニバル2階通路の展示と福島県人会義援金ブースは今日6月26日にも開設されます。カーニバルは12時正午から午後7時半まで。寄付金は直接福島県に届けられます。

Gardena Valley JCI Carnival is being held today, June 26, 2011 as well from 12 noon to 7:30 pm. The Fukushima Kenjinkai Association booth is located on the second floor. They are selling the T-shirt and accepting donations. They will send the donations directly to Fukushima.

５月３日同じ日に、復興の祈りを込めて世界中で希望の花の種を植えましょう！
『5月3日世界同時 花の種まきプロジェクト～SEEDS OF HOPE～』が開催されます。てんつくマンさんが4月半ばごろから呼びかけてました。さていよいよです。

"SEEDS OF HOPE" PROJECT will be held on May 3, 2011 worldwide. Let's plant seeds of flowering plants at home, school, or at office worldwide on May 3rd. This has been organized by Tentsukuman in Osaka, Japan. He has been helping the victims in North East Japan after the 3-11-2011 M9 earthquake and Tsunami.

希望の花を世界中に咲かせるのです！

☆参加方法☆
１、プロジェクトをいろんな人に伝えてください。（１つでも多くの祈りを届けましょう）
２、５月３日までにお花の種や管理できる場所を準備しましょう。
３、５月３日世界で祈りと希望を込めて花の種を植えましょう。
４、植えた種と一緒に写真を撮りましょう。
５、SNS（FACEBOOKやツイッター）で写真やアクションをあげてください。
６、お花を大事に育ててください。

※ひまわりや菜の花が放射能を吸い取るという情報がありますが、今回は放射能をとるための企画ではありません。ひまわりだけでなくお好きなお花の種を植えてください。

Well, finally I will announce the "Seeds of Hope" project on May 3, 2011.

Let's plant flowering plants worldwide on May 3, 2011 with the prayers of the following:
The damaged areas in Japan, USA, and elsewhere will recover soon.
Lots of smiles and hopes will spread.
The people who passed away will rest in peace.

We are doing this project with prayers and hopes. Let's decorate our planet Earth and upload photos to Facebook, Twitter, blogs, etc.later to share with others!
The seeds of hope will blossom into flowers worldwide.

☆How to Participate☆
1) Spread the word about this project to as many as possible.
2) Prepare seeds and a space or a planter to plant seeds of flower.
3) Plant seeds on May 3, 2011 worldwide with prayers and hopes.
4) Take photos with the seeds
5) Upload photos and articles on Facebook, Twitter, and blogs.
6) Raise the plants until they blossom into flowers.

* Sunflowers are known to inhale and reduce radiation. But any flowering plants of your choice are fine for this project.

3月18日に日本と世界に向けメッセージを発信したホピ族も、地球を救うため家庭菜園やガーデニングを呼びかけてました。5月3日に種まきできないなら、翌日5月4日みどりの日でも週末でも少し後からでもいいと思います。

地球をたくさんの花、希望、笑顔で満たしましょう!

The Hopi Nation gave humanity a simple message for our future and how to overcome these difficult times,--"Join your hearts to Hopi in honoring our Mother Earth by planting gardens, respecting our Sacred life giving waters and all life for future generations of our children."

If you could not make it on May 3, it's OK to do so on May 4th, the following weekend, or little later.

Let's fill our Mother Earth with lots of flowers, hopes, and smiles!

ハワイアン航空勤務・トーレンス在住のトレーシーさんが、日本の被災地へ送る救援物資を募集しています。期限は4月17日でしたが、5月13日に延長されました（4月18日６ｐｍ再訂正～Ｅメールにて）。私は職場で集めて持参しました。グループでまたは個人で送られてはどうでしょう？

Ms.Tracy Thompson of Hawaiian Airline who lives in Torrance, California, is collecting the items packaged for transport to victims in Japan. The deadline was April 17, 2011, but it was extended to May 13, 2011 due to so many requests . I received another email from Tracy as of 6 pm April 18, 2011.

the LAX liaison for Hawaiian Airlines coordinating a donation drive, for the people of Japan, with the Airline unions, All Nippon Air (ANA) and an organization called Airline Ambassadors (AA), a non profit organization, created by an American Airlines Flight Attendant.

If any of you would like to participate in this donation drive or know of any other individuals/church groups trying to get items to Japan, let them know I can get the donations to Japan. The items need to be packaged a specific way and delivered to a specific drop off location for pick up by Airline Ambassadors to be delivered to ANA. I will take care of packing the items to ANA's specifications and dropping off the packages to AA.

Update/追記 4/18/2011:
I have been instructed by the shipping company that they need to be in file size or med size boxes. Some of you have dropped off goods in boxes of this size and I am very grateful now for having them. If anyone has access to more of these types of cardboard boxes, now is the time I can use them.

Once again, everything can be dropped off at my home, inside my gated front entry, and one of my family will bring it in, if we are not here at the time you come.

トレーシーさんに電話しても応答がないというコメントがありました。
英語でＥメールされた方が返事が来る確立高いです。前回職場で集めたドーネション物資を2箱トレーシーさん宅に運んだ旨Ｅメールすると、返信来ました。

I received some comments that their phone calls were not answered by Tracy.
I believe there is higher chance of getting a reply from Tracy, if you email her. She replied my email when I took 2 large donation boxes to her house last time.

3月11日の東日本大地震以来、世界各国で日本へ支援金を送るため募金活動が行われてます。先週4月2日土曜日は全米とカナダで「ベークセール・フォージャパン」が行われ、メルローズの "Angeli Cafe"に行ってきました。
今週末も来週も日本支援イベント目白押しです。

"Japan Relief Community Events": There have been many Japan relief activities in the world since the big Earthquake in North East Japan on March 11, 2011. "Basesale for Japan" was conducted throughout USA and Canada last Saturday, April 2, 2011. I went to "Angeli Cafe" in Melrose, LA. There are many Japan relief events this weekend and next week, too.

"Angeli Cafe"の店頭と店の一角に展示されたベーカリーの売り上げ全部日本の被災地に寄付されました。

The proceeds from the baked goods in front of the entrance door outside and on a large table in the cafe were donated to the victims in Japan.

I purchased these at $27. Green Tea Cupcakes were not too sweet, and a fresh cut fower was attached. Cool!

There were high-tech parking meters that take credit cards. Melrose Avenue is trendy.

ハリウッドセレブご用達のセレクトショップやビンテージショップが並びます。バスの宣伝も"GUESS"。

There are many select shops and vintage shops where Hollywood celebrities often visit. The sign board on a buss was "GUESS".

４月２日（土）に全米で行われる"Bakesale for Japan"。ロサンゼルスでも参加者募集中！リトル東京の東本願寺で販売予定！また当日東本願寺にて、サンプラザ中野くん、チャリティ・ゲリラ・ライブ開催されるそう。

LOS ANGELES (CBS) ― Helping with the Japan relief effort is as easy as getting a hair cut.
Marinello beauty school campuses across Southern California are holding a “Japan Relief Cut-a-Thon” from Tuesday, March 29, through Saturday, April 2.
Haircuts are just $5 per customer and all proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross to support relief efforts in Japan.
“We were all very excited. We took to the streets with our flyers, handing them out… I sent a text to everyone i know and got huge response this week,” said Yunea Cruz of the Marinello School of Beauty in Burbank.
For the next five days, all the proceeds from the 46 Southern California campuses will go to the American Red Cross.

3.11 Japan Relief Concert 4/17/11 Cerritos
The concert will feature the 3.11 Japan Relief String Orchestra, comprised of 19 musicians who perform with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. The orchestra will be conducted by Richard M. Elegino, a violist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Elegino and the musicians are donating their time and talent for the concert. The City is providing the venue for the fund raiser. Donations by check to the U.S.-Japan Council Earthquake Relief Fund will be accepted at the concert and may also be made by credit card through the U.S.-Japan Council Earthquake Relief Fund secure website.

What do Lady Gaga and John Lennon have in common? Two of their biggest hits will headline a new all-star digital album raising money for disaster-stricken Japan.

The four major record labels ― Sony Entertainment Music, EMI Music, Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group ― have joined together to facilitate the project. It features Lady Gaga’s No. 1 hit “Born This Way,” John Lennon’s classic “Imagine” and dozens more songs from performers ranging from Adele to Eminem. 先週末東日本大地震支援イベントに参加しました。ロサンゼルス界隈そして全米あちこちで支援イベントが開催されてます。

"Support and Pray for Japan" events are being held many places in Los Angeles and United States of America. I participated some events last weekend.

一旗会主催。義援金＄５以上で折り紙の鶴にメッセージを書き2千羽以上作りました。

It was held by "Hitohata-kai". Each person wrote a message on a paper and made Origami paper-crane. At the end there were more than 2000 paper-cranes.







サンタモニカで"Hope Love Help"チャリティーバザー開催。日系マーケット店頭でも募金活動が行われてます。

"Hope Love Help" Charity Bazaar was held in Santa Monica. Donations are being collected at entrances of Japanese markets as well.

From Oregon, With Love Concert Raised $250,000 for Japanese Relief
オレゴン州では、3月27日ピンクマティーニ、由紀さおりさんなどの歌手出演のチャリティーコンサートが開催され、25万ドル、約2千万円の寄付が東日本の被災者に送られた。

Portland's letter of sympathy and support to Japanese earthquake victims will be mailed with a $250,000 stamp. That's after tallying the revenue from 1,300 tickets, private donations, pizza and T-shirt sales at Sunday's two "From Oregon, With Love" benefit concerts for the victims of the March 11 earthquake and tsunami that devastated Japan. It was held at Aladdin Theater in Portland on March 27, 2011.

The cast of musicians volunteered for Sunday's concert were Storm Large, Pink Martini's Thomas Lauderdale, and a guest appearance from Saori Yuki, whom Beaudoin called "the Barbra Streisand of Japan."

3月27日夜、友人Ｊさん宅にて10名ほど集まり、東日本大震災被災者と福島原発のために祈りました。1時間ほどのお祈りのあとは、ポットラック（持ち寄り）ディナー。

About 10 people gathered at friend J's house at night on March 27th to pray for earthquake and Tsunami victims and Fukushima Nuclear Plant crisis in Japan.

竹の子とエンリギの炊き込みご飯、焼き豚、バーベキューソーセージ、海老炒飯、タイ・ヌードル、トマトサラダ、鮭おむすび、焼きたてのパン、スプリングサラダ、胡麻だんご、新鮮ないちごなど。
