Koishikawa Korakuen Iris 小石川後楽園 花菖蒲

6月10日東京都文京区にある小石川後楽園に行きました。
花菖蒲(ハナショウブ)が満開でした。

東京の都心にあり読売巨人の本拠地東京ドームのお隣にあります。
季節ごとの花が楽しめる美しい日本庭園です。

池の亀の親子をみたり、蓮池でボーットしたり。

あと、帰りに食べたずんだ(枝豆)ソフトクリームが美味しかった。

I visited Koishiwara Korakuen park on Tuesday, 6/10/2008.
It was built in 1629 by Mr.Yorifusa Mito.

You can enjoy seasonal flowers at this beautiful Japanese garden.

Hanashoubu, Japanese Iris was in full bloom that day.

I spent my time walking in the park, watching turtles in the pound, and relaxed.
They also serve soft ice cream at a shop at the entrance.
I liked their Zunda flavor, it's made of soy bean edamames.

It is located in the heart of Tokyo, next to Tokyo Dome, where Yomiuri Giants baseball team plays.

Bellagio Conservatory 4 "Early Summer"温室 初夏

ラスベガスのベラージオカジノホテルには、季節や行時ごとに飾りつけられた温室（Conservatory) がある。
5月28日朝８時過ぎから訪れた時は「初夏とアメリカンホリデー」仕様。
朝から多くの人で賑わっていました。写真をアップします。

アメリカ各地を電車で旅している気分です。
植物で飾られた蒸気機関車あり、ミニチュア機関車が線路を走り、アメリカ国旗が並び、マウント・ラシュモアあり、熊の親子あり、はげ鷹の親子あり、の楽しい飾りつけでした。
そして勿論最終目的地はベラージオカジノホテルです。

At Bellagio Casino Hotel in Las Vegas, NV, there is a botanical garden, called "the conservatory". They decorate for each season and holiday event.
I uploaded several photos from my visit on 5/28/08. It was 8 AM, and there were a lot of visitors at the botanical garden.　

The display was "Early Summer and American Holiday".
It displayed American sceneries, such as Mount Rushmore, and other mountain sides, American flags, and a steam engine train.
In there miniature trains run through greeting bears and falcons.
It was like traveling through USA by train. The last destination was off course, Bellagio Hotel.

Bellagio Conservatory 3 "Spring"温室 春

ラスベガスのベラージオカジノホテルには、季節や行時ごとに飾りつけられた温室（Conservatory) がある。5月7日と9日朝8時過ぎから訪れた時は春のセレブレーション仕様。朝から多くの人で賑わっていました。写真をアップします。色とりどりの花が美しく、あげは蝶がきれいで、てんとう虫の飾り付けが可愛かった。

At Bellagio Casino Hotel in Las Vegas, NV, there is a botanical garden, called "the conservatory". They decorate for each season and holiday event. I uploaded several photos from my visit on 5/7/08 and 5/9/08. It was 8 AM, and there were a lot of visitors at the botanical garden.　The display was "Celebration of Spring" with variety of spring flowers and beautiful butterflies in the green house. Especially, the display of ladybugs were cute.

Cherry Blossom, LA, CA さくら 桜

These photos were taken on Saturday, 3/15/08, at Balboa Park, Van Nuys, California.
It's located near 101 Fwy and 405 Fwy, 30 miles North West of downtown Los Angeles.

3200 cherry blossom trees (sakura) were donated and planted by an anonymous Japanese company in 1992. They are pink cloud (hybrid of Ohshima sakura) cherry trees.
They were probably at full blossom 2 to 3 days prior to 3/15/08.

There is a 27 are lake in 80 are park with paddling boat rental, birds, barbeque facilities, and picnic benches.
Also there is a public golf course next to the park, They are operated by City of Los Angeles.

I attended a cherry blossom picnic held by Fukuoka Kenjinkai Association. 34 people attended and enjoyed Beef BBQ, Chicken BBQ, yakisoba (chow-main) noodle, pork and vegetable miso soup, rice balls, inari sushi, kinpira gobo, ham sandwich, egg sandwich, assorted fruit, Chinese chicken salad, and etc.

It was little windy and a nice sunny day when the photos were taken between 11 AM and 3 PM.
It rained little around 5 PM that day. I was able to capture the beauty of the cherry blossom trees before they were blown away by wind and rain.

Many people were enjoying picnic and strolling in the park. There was a group of people enjoying "Anime costume play" under cherry blossom trees as well.

3月15日土曜日ロサンゼルス下町から北西に30マイル（48キロ）ほど北西にあるバルボア・パークに桜のお花見ピクニックに行きました。南加福岡県人会青壮年部主催。場所は101フリーウエイと405フリーウエイ（高速道路）が交差するあたり。80エーカーの広大な敷地に２７エーカーの池があり、それを囲むように桜が植えられ絶景。
足こぎボートなどのリクレーションもあり。

バルボア・パークには、 3200本のピンク・クラウド種（オオシマザクラの改良品種) の桜が 植えられています。
これは1992年に匿名希望の日系会社がこの公園に寄付・植樹したものだそうです。
この日は少し風が強いものの晴天に恵まれ、良いお花見日和でした。
たぶん満開を２、3日過ぎているころでしたが、同日夕方5時過ぎに雨が降る前の午前11時から午後3時にかけてみごとな桜の写真やビデオクリップを撮ることができました。

ピクニックには34名参加。大きな鉄板でその場で焼かれた焼きそば、ビーフバーベキュー、チキンバーベキュー、高菜チャーハンのほかにポットラック(持ち寄り）のかぼちゃの煮物、数種類のおにぎり、いなり寿司、きんぴらごぼう、中華風チキンサラダ、豚汁、フルーツ盛り合わせ、ハムサンド、エッグサンドなどのご馳走。
じゃんけんゲームでほぼ全員にカルビーのお菓子、かねふくのからし明太子などをもらう。
じゃんけんの勝者は他に森乳トーフ、あられ詰め合わせなどももらう。

同日多くの人がピクニックや散歩を楽しんでいました。近くにコスプレの集団がピクニックパーティーを開催していたので、思わず数枚写真撮影しました。

ラスベガスのベラージオカジノホテルには、季節や行時ごとに飾りつけられた温室（Conservatory) がある。12月24日朝8時過ぎから訪れた時はクリスマス仕様。朝から多くの人で賑わっていました。写真をアップします。ペンギンたちが可愛かった。

Maple Leaves かえでの紅葉

　　Maple leaves are changing colors to yellow and red in Torrance, California area. I enjoy taking photos along Del Amo Blvd. at Mariner Street, 1 block East of Hawthorn Blvd. Here are some photos taken this afternoon.
　　The leaves were yellow and red around 10/26/07. They were mostly red when I took photos around 4 PM today.

ロサンゼルス郊外トーレンス市にかえでの紅葉が楽しめる一体がある。ホーゾン通りから１ブロック東のデルアモ通りのあたり。
10月26に撮影したときは黄色混じりでしたが、今日の午後4時前に撮影したときは大分赤く色づいていました。

Bellagio Conservatory 温室 1

　ラスベガスのベラージオカジノホテルには、季節や行時ごとに飾りつけられた温室（Conservatory) がある。ラスベガスへ行く度にここを訪れるのが楽しみだ。ロビーの奥にある。ロビーも同じテーマで飾られる。この温室の奥にはカフェがあり、コーヒーやお茶をいただきながらこの温室をゆったりと楽しむこともできる。

　このホテルは入り口からして豪華だ。巨大な池で演出される、噴水ショー。平日は午後3時から8時まで30分毎、午後8時から午前12時まで15分毎。土日は午後12時から午後８時まで30分毎、午後8時から午前12時まで15分毎に行われる。無料で見物できる。

　先週9月20日に訪れた際は、秋の紅葉をテーマに大きな水車小屋、滝、川、大きなかぼちゃなどが美しく飾られていた。写真をアップします。雰囲気を味わってください。

This time the theme was "Autum". They had a huge water mill house, waterfall, stream, and a huge pumpkin. Enjoy the Autum. The garden is open to public and free. There is a cafe at the back of this garden.

りんごを紅葉の色にみたてた鮮やかな飾り。すべて本物を使用。




入ってすぐ左側。中央の胡蝶蘭が見事。霧深い庭園があしられてある。
